I actually watched the finale of Average Joe 2 simply for the hope of seeing the regular guy win out. And the previews made it out that he would, and two-thirds of the actual episode seemed to lean towards Brian, who was, I should note, quite funny. The other Guy was a total tool, even before he dumped her; the woman's suspicions that he was holding something back = "damn he looks fine I want this on my arm." Toolishness confirmed when he walked out because she dated Fabio. "Put yourself in my shoes" etc i.e. who cares who she used to go out with you chump?

The ending was only surprising because she seemed like she might actually do the sensible thing.
