Underwritten -- pointless "realistic" banter that's so broadly conceived that it fails to actually contribute to filling out a character's outlines. I really wish that the focus would be completely on the case instead of taking lazy half-steps towards human depth (e.g. the lawyers talking about their high school selves, the corporate lawyer/juror guy, etc.).
